As featured in Architectural Records; March 2017, EMS 50 was awarded a gold medal by the American Architecture for Institutional Buildings in 2016.
This project consists of contaminated soil removal, excavation, pile driving, pile caps and grade beams construction around an existing active utility tunnel servicing the Queens Hospital complex.
Architectural exposed structural steal trusses spanning over 140 feet with a 30 foot cantilever.
A two story building with a basement and crawlspace. The exterior is comprised of architectural cast in place concrete, curtain wall and metal panel construction.
The apparatus floor houses ten vehicles in three bays.
Calcedo also preformed all site work, including site storm systems, paving, site concrete and city sidewalk and curb.
